Owlbot is JournalOwl's automated assistant (chatbot) who helps courageous overcomers like you face hurts, hangups, and bad habits head on. You can chat with Owlbot, day or night, to get tips & tricks on handling a variety of of issues you're likely to face when overcoming a bad habit, a bad mood, or even learn about yourself. Owlbot believes in the power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and draws on this evidence-based therapeutic framework to help you challenge negative thinking patterns that do not serve you.

Beyond CBT, Owlbot is very studious and gets smarter by the day. He might not be fully human, but his artificial intelligence (AI) allows him to sift through mountains of misinformation on the Internet to present you with evidence-based research to becoming a better you. For example, he is well-versed in how to lose weight, how to quit smoking, how to quit drinking, how to manage anxiety, and the list goes on. Although Owlbot likes to think he's human, he's not a substitute for the human connections offered with traditional therapy. Think of Owlbot as another tool you can leverage when life gets challenging.

Is Owlbot Free to Use?

The best things in life are often free -- Owlbot is no exception. He'll ask you how you're feeling on a day-to-day basis, count the days since you quit a bad habit, and even generate some pretty cool graphs for you. In a pinch, he can also send you some self-help videos if you get tired of typing with him. For instance, if you're facing a really bad craving for nicotine, he might send you a video about the physiological changes occurring in your body, or even a quick 10 minute guided meditation to help calm your nerves.

He's a loyal friend that is constantly improving to help you learn tips, tricks, and evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, to overcome life's greatest challenges.

Challenge Your Negative Thinking Patterns.
